Dream Big For God

Today’s word is “dream.” I am wondering about what you have been dreaming about while on this journey.  I believe each dream that we have is uniquely suited to who we are in Christ and to how God wants to use each of us to reach those who are in our circle of influence for the cause of Christ.  We must remember that God plants dreams and desires in our hearts.  If we are not sure what to dream, all we need to do is to pray and ask God to place His desires for our lives in our hearts and minds.  Pastor Steven J. Cole states: “Dream big and plan for how God might use you, but submit to God’s will and seek His blessing in the outworking of your plans.”  This is an important statement.  Since you and I are still this side of heaven, I pray that we will appreciate that God has a purpose for each of our lives that only we can fulfill.  Pastor Cole insists that we need to “have a holy ambition to see God use us in ways beyond what we can ask or think…why not spend time thinking about how God could use us…to advance His kingdom?”  Pastor Cole challenges us to ask God to show us how to spend our life (both now and in the future) in light of eternity.  Don’t waste your life! Make your life count for God! Psalm 90:12 is a prayer: “Teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” Moses concludes his prayer with the repeated plea of verse 17: “Confirm for us the work of our hands; yes, confirm the work of our hands.” May we all give some thought to what abilities and desires He has given each of us to use for His purposes.  Life truly is short—don’t waste a minute of it!  Blessings, Linda
