This weekend will be busy b/c of Easter, so today I decided to walk the neighborhood. If you go around once it’s approximately one mile. I started out thinking I would do one mile. I got around the first round and decided to go another, then another. I did the 5 K!! I didn’t run it, but I did it!
As I was walking I realized how some of us have stopped this journey. It reminded me of true Salvation. Some go along the journey and Follow Jesus faithfully until death. Some Follow Jesus for a little while until life gets difficult and get discouraged. Others hear the Gospel, but never respond to the call.
Mark 4:3-9 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on the rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, b/c the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered b/c they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants so they did not bear grain. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multilplying , thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times. Then Jesus said, “He who ears to hear let him hear.”
