I can’t work out in the morning since I have a 14 month old and we both have to get ready, fed and out the door so I can drop him off at grandmas and make it to work by 8. I work 8 to 5 sitting at a desk all day. Then I have to make the decision of going to the gym or going home to cook dinner. Usually if I go to the gym we end up eating out after for dinner. I am looking for some easy recipes that I can prepare ahead and just pop in the oven or on the stove and be done. Crock pots don’t really work for me since it would have to go on before 7am and be in there for around 12 hours.
Brittany you are not alone! Meal prep will be your best friend, and a crock pot! A lot of time I will make something on Sunday that we can eat on duringtge week like a protien packed stew it chicken chili. Last night I sautéed onions and mushrooms with some chicken sausage then made some quinoa and topped the sausage mixture on Quiona and viola, breakfast for next four days- all I have to do is warmin microwave then top with an over medium egg and for you have a breakfast that will keep you full thru lunch! I struggle with my desk job too, one thing you can do is get up and move every 50 minutes. If you have a good even better! Close that thing and do three minutes of squats. Look up the video “Sally Up” and you’ll see what I mean! Those movement breaks will greatly impact your mental sharpness, mood, and health! I’m no expert just lots of trial and error! Good luck on your journey! Feel free to connect with me via email if you want to chat! amandasanders87@gmail.com
That does make it tough!! Would your employer allow you to extend lunch by 30 minutes so you could go to the gym at lunch? If not, then find a new boss. Your health and fitness are totally the best investment of time you can make. Make it happen, be consistent!!
