The Beginning of Life’s Journey

Hi Y’all!!

My name is Lisa. I am 43 (I know, I gave my age). I’m a wife to my amazing husband, Andy. Mom to three wonderful girls, Alexandria, Jessica, and Taylor. Mom-in-law to the best son (son-in-law), Tim. Mimi to my two special granddaughters, Liana, and Evelyn. I’m the self-proclaim “adopted” mom to kids my girls bring home. Most importantly, I’m a child of God. I prefer to call myself a Princess of the King. It always gets a laugh out of my girls. I love to make people laugh!

Back to the subject at hand…..

I want to thank His Radio, and all of the sponsors for this opportunity. After the year I had in 2016,  I hope to learn more things about myself through lots of prayer, and sweating. While I am super excited, I am also a lot nervous. In one way, this feels easy to do; however I know that it is going to take a lot of work. Can some of us agree that pasta feels like life? Time to change that thought process. Feeling good is life! Eating healthier makes for a longer life.  Please keep all of us in prayer. Some of us are at the various YMCA’s, some of us are at home doing this. We ALL need prayer.

Last night, January 30,2017, I completed my first Zumba class. I laughed so much. I have zero coordination, and dancing ability. Seriously, the group would be going left, I’d go to the right. My daughters laughed so much with me. I have always danced to my own tune anyway. 😉 There were a few of us RBL girls, as well as some of our own  girls.  As normal for me, I went to the back of the class. When I couldn’t do what was happening (like spinning), I marched in place. All in all, it was a ton of fun. Now to get ready to head back to the Y today!! Happy Sweating Y’all!!

  1. You rock Lisa. Keep up the hard work and can’t wait to hear your Praise reports. And I too will be pulling the Atlanta since Panthers are not in it!

  2. Falcons, I guess … Blech! You know I love my Panthers! Also, I wanted to say that I am so excited to be doing this “with” you! What a great night it was to hug your neck, finally! You’re amazing, with the most amazing support system I have ever seen! I can’t wait to see you again! LOVE YOU, FRIEND!!!!

  3. Oh I love Zumba because I too laugh at my uncoordination, but I’m doing it (even if I’m dancing to a different tune!!! ) Love it! Keep up the great effort and attitude!!!
