Week 1 Complete -YES!!!

FarrSide of Life…Friday, Feb 3… Today is my first official weigh-in day…

These last 7 days have been life-changing for us. We have totally changed our lifestyle: the way we eat, the way we drink, the way we sleep, the way we move! It has been a challenge just because life, in general, is a challenge when you are balancing family, home, work, church, school, dance, etc… but overcoming those challenges is so rewarding when you step on the scale and see that your hard work is paying off!!

I am humbled and blessed to share with you that I have lost 15 pounds since last Friday!! Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either, but I have the pictures to prove it. 😁. I worked out everyday this week! I ate an average of 1722 calories each day! I drank an average of 132 oz of water each day. And I feel great!!!

It’s amazing how well your body responds to workouts when you are feeding it and nourishing it the right way.  I wanted to get this journey started off with eating the right foods, the right proteins, fruit and vegetables, and understanding how to make good, solid food choices that will sustain me throughout the day! I know I may not see these results every week but this is the start that I needed on this journey. I had to be all-in from the beginning or I would risk not finishing what God has allowed me to start.

It doesn’t have to be weight loss, it could be anything… God is constantly calling each of us to new adventures and new opportunities that are available inside His will for our lives. The only way to truly succeed in any place, or in any situation, is by looking to God for direction and obeying his Word. When you follow God, you will find that you will prosper, no matter what you are called to do. Check out Joshua 1:1-9 in your Bible. This may serve as your motivation to let go, and let God do something great in your life today!!
