Week 5 Finished! Another Losing Week…
Yesterday was the conclusion of week 5 for RBL2017! It was another losing week for me as I was blessed to lose another 4 lbs this week for a total weight loss of 35.8 pounds in 5 weeks. I cannot be more thrilled with the results and with how I am feeling!
Let me talk to my former self for just a minute, in the hopes that someone reading this may be where I was… I used to think that going to the gym was only for “fit” people and for people who knew how to operate gym equipment and what exercises to do for different body parts, etc… I assumed that because I didn’t know what to do that I would look “stupid” or “dumb” and that people would make fun of the large, overweight guy! Could I have been further from the truth?
There are two great things about the Greenville County YMCA: the people and the program. The people are so supportive and encouraging. They will go out of their way to help you and explain things to you, and I’m not just talking about the staff. The program (ActivTrax) is top notch and so easy to follow. Everyday it gives you a new workout to follow. And if you are like me and need visual instructions, well there are those, too! For every machine and workout, there is a video showing you how to do it. I have witnessed not only my life being changed, but over the past several weeks, I have seen new people come into the YMCA looking for help and they are receiving it, just like I am.
Maybe you would like to take control of your life and your health. I would highly recommend a visit to your local area YMCA. All you have to do is show up and initiate the conversation… they will take it from there and can get you on the road to better health, better living, and a better you! Don’t try this journey alone!
