Down another 6.2 pounds this week for a total weight loss of 42 pounds in 6 weeks! WOW!!! I couldn’t believe it… I had to step off and step back on just to make sure it wasn’t trying to prank me.
Every Friday morning I go to my cardiologist’s office to weigh in. It keeps me from checking my weight hourly at the YMCA and it gives me another level of accountability. I take a picture of my weight every week and send to my trainer at the GIT YMCA. I have every picture, dating back to my initial weigh in on Jan. 27.
This week, in particular, has probably been one of my more exciting weigh-ins. After last week, I was at 35.8 pounds lost. I wanted to see at least a 40 pound weight loss at the six week mark, so I set a goal to push a little bit harder and row, walk, ride, swim a little bit further in order to be at 40+ pounds total loss by the end of this week! This is the first week that I set a short-term goal for myself and it feels so great to have actually achieved it!
I am at a point in the competition where the “water weight”, as they say, is gone. When I lose weight now, I am losing fat! I am burning fat! I am shedding fat! That’s why this week’s weigh-in was so meaningful. Nothing comes easy. Hard work pays off! Lesson learned! 🙂
For those of you wondering, I am still maintaining a 1200-1400 calorie/day diet. I still have not had any red meat or fried food since January 26. I am still drinking 140-180 ounces of water/day and I feel fine!!! #RBL2017 #LosingIsWinning
Keep up the good work-dream big- keep the faith and be patient. All the time and hard schedule will pay big dividend. Encouraged by your LH family.
