Super fast super yum supper.

I highly recommend Bilo and their BOGO fish! Made fish tacos in no time. And look up the recipe for cowboy caviar…alter as needed for what you can and can’t have. It is amazing and I made a quick batch tonight to top my tacos. Pineapples on the side. Yummmmmm-o!!!!! Makes me feel like I need to be sitting on the beach in the warm sun while eating these tacos and fresh pineapple. Mercy!

Sickness

Well, I have missed 2 days this week because of sickness. Both my kids are getting over the flu. Now, Mama has the sinus infection to end all sinus infections.

Need to work, need to work out, need to cook, need to clean, need to do meal prep, need to buy groceries, etc. Totally overwhelmed this morning and wondering what in the world am I going to do bc I feel so bad. Then I went to the bathroom and pulled out my scales. Whatever I have done this week has helped…I am down a total of 8lbs! That helped me realize ok, somwtimes we get si k. Pull yourswlf together, get better and keep trucking! And that is what i am going to do. I wont get a work out in today bc of sick ess but, tomorrow is a new day!!! And I know I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength!

So thankful for my group of support. So thankful for God for bringing me on this journey. So thankful for Rob and His Radio for doing what they do to help others in so many ways.

1 meeting down….

LOVED our meeting tonight guys at GHS!!!! Afterwards these dogs (pictured above) did cardio and almost all my strength training but the were closing! I know we are gping to crush this and we all have the drive to do So! I’m usually at the GHS location in the evenings by 730 after the crowd thins out. If you need a partner…I will be there! Love you all!

Whittle while you work…

So I have a desk job which, obviously, makes me sit on my tush most all day. I have found that getting up and just walking around, jogging or marching in place, anything that gets the blood pumping makes me feel better. Especially when that 3pm sleepiness hits!!! I have also found some simple office chair exercises on Pintrest I can do between clients!!! This allows me to whittle down this body that much more. Just food for thought for anyone else out there with a desk job. See my GHS crew tonight at 7!!! #RBL2018 #IamHis

Sheet pan dinners!

 

I love sheet pan dinners. I use olive oil (I like it better than EVOO) and use spices like Mrs. Dash or just whatever I think up. Fresh herbs, garlic, squeeze a lemon, PESTO! If you have not had pesto I recommend you get some. It makes everything better. (2 tbsp of pesto and 2 tbsp of sherry vinegar make a great salad dressing for a spinach salad!!!) These sheet pan dinners can be anything from steak fajitas to a shrimp boil! Also, if you have not found Pintrest it is a great place to find great sheet pan recipes. Lay it all out, season it and forget it!!! Easy peasy!!! Here on the top shelf I have grouper, potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms seasoned with olive oil and lemon pepper Mrs. Dash. The bottom pan is asparagus, salmon with pesto and lemon, and mushrooms. I sprinkled this pan of veggies with garlic and a little parmesan. Try out some of your own creations and share!

This is just the beginning!

Well I had my wellness exam today. It went a little better than expected to be honest. I was able to do the tasks requested with not too many issues. I was shocked. After my assessment I vot on the treadmill in the cardio theater at the GHS location. If you haven’t tried the theater you must. Tonight they were showing Top Gun (before Tom Cruise flipped his wig) and they have all sorts of cardio machines in there to use while you watch. I walked a mile and it felt like I did it in 5 minutes! Needless to say, as I sit here tonight, my chunky body hurts and aches. But in a good way!!! I am so looking forward to keep pushing thru and shed this weight! I’m looking forward to watching all of us transform and create a different lifestyle!! Good luck to all!! God bless!!

My wellness exam…

Went in for my wellness exam today but had no idea we were expected to get sweaty! I was all ready for work! Had to reschedule the exercise part of it. Just wanted you all to know you gotta do some workouts when you go. Not sure if I missed the memo on this aspect or what but…just be prepared friends and wear your tennis shoes! 😁💪

My cup runneth over…

So my youngest son (14 yrs) is totally my biggest cheerleader and motivation thru this. Since day 1 he has been so positive, researching food ideas and exercises. I have had a bad day today. Made a bad food choice after taking him to the Dr for the 2nd time in 2 days due to flu/bronchial issues. Was feeling super down tonight and did not make it to the gym. After getting his medicine from the pharmacy tonight he was like, “Ok, Mom get in the floor and do some ab work since you didn’t go to the gym.” He lead me thru some moves and helped me count and praised me for pushing thru it. He wants to go thru this with me as well for his own health concerns. He is always rooting me along and it just makes me know I can do this!

I am beyond thankful God pushed me to do this. I am so thankful for His Radio and Rob Dempsey for creating this amazing community of people to help each other. I know I have all my new found friends with RBL but, I know hands down my biggest fan is my 14 yr old son. He has a heart of gold and makes me smile daily. God has blessed me beyond measure. I have 2 amazing kids and a great husband. After having a rough day, I picked myself back up and got back on board thanks to him.

My wellness exam is in the morning. I’m anxious and nervous to see what happens!!!! Wish me luck!!!
