Habit Focus Week Three: Initially, I was focusing on skin and dental care because I do not always take off my make-up and care for my skin and floss daily.  Then after doing some research for my topic this week I changed my focus. I realized this is a great week for this topic. Keep on doing those things that makes you better & stronger.

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Mini Goals

I wanted to set up rewards for myself along the way. I had it in my mind that when I reached goal I would upgrade the wardrobe. I’ve decided to set up mini goals along the way to help keep me motivated.

5lbs –   Fit for shoes
5%  –    Update a piece in my wardrobe
10lbs – Workout clothing piece
10% –   Fitness piece
20lbs – Update a piece in my wardrobe

What are your goals and rewards? I would love to hear them!

Water Week

As water pours freely from the heavens and seems to flow endlessly.

I have outlined habits I am going to target in the next eleven weeks. I will try my best to work on improving that quality and be more of an overcomer.  You know my first week was COFFEE.  I have not had it since February 1st.  I had the killer headache for three days but when the fog lifted. I started trekking to the gym.  The workouts really help me break through the reckage. Put off a habit and put on a new one.

This week it is WATER week.  Refreshing, hydrating, thirst-quenching water. I start each day with a glass with half a lemon squeezed in it. I set a reminder to fill up at 8, 11, 1, 4 and 8 again.

Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids. Your body is composed of about 50-65% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

End of Week One

This is what I am I learning.  I have to set aside time to schedule life. My greatest tool is my phone to set reminders and a Quo Vadis Academic Minister as my Agenda Planning Diary.  It has a monthly calendar and weekly spread laid out in hourly format.  I can block of time for meeting, workouts, college class, homework, study sessions, meal planning and prep and my husband and five kid’s events.  This is the only way I am staying sane now.  I thought this week was going to plow me under but completely contrary.  I am stronger and lost three pounds!  My body does not give up anything on the scale but I fought hard for it and ate two serving of veggies with every meal, and a grapefruit with my breakfast almost everyday. My muscles are sore but I got four workout in this week.  Tomorrow is the day of rest.  I plan to take advantage of it!!

Keep fighting! You are getting stronger. Sky is the limit!

Plan for the week

Every week I am going to look at my habits and find at least one thing to change.  This week for me it is the coffee (hard one for me). I am an off again-on again user.  I want to save my calories for food even though it is just a bit for the decadent creamer. I also want a more alkaline PH level in my system.  This is not for everyone but I am going to cut my tie with that morning starter and replace it with water and workouts to energize and launch out on the right foot.
