God’s at work

We are at Walmart shopping and buying groceries for my diet and I started talking to a lady about weight loss and the struggle of losing weight. She told me that she had two sons that were both 400+ pounds each and her husband just had a heart attack and had to have open heart surgery. I informed her that I was on Robs biggest losers this year and she started encouraging me to stay with it and told me not to let The stress control the outcome. No matter what you’re going through push forward, that is what God told me this week. It is funny how God puts people in your path to remind you that he is here with you taking this journey with us and he is cheering us on.

Stress = Struggle

My wife and I are put in a position where we have to move. We are in search for a house to rent, We don’t have perfect credit so it makes the third but much harder we have to be out of here by March 5 and stress is piling on my shoulders as the man of the house. With the stress of trying to find a place to live and worrying about becoming homeless it kind of puts things in perspective on your life and what is important to you. The number one thing and the most important thing to me is God and then my family. So to be completely transparent and honest with everybody I have not been in the gym or been eating healthy for a week now. I have told myself I have to be in the gym so I am going to start back up with 100% dedication on Monday, please pray for me and my family as we are in the search for our home much appreciated and God bless.

Struggle is real!!!!

It has been just a little over a week with the new dieting and working out but I have not done in years, I’m 46 years and my body is in shock LOL. When I was younger I lived in the weight room with the football players but now the struggle is real, getting up and finding the energy and motivation to go to the gym is harder than I thought it would be. With the strength of God and that support team that I have it makes it a lot easier. I find it necessary to have accountability partners in place to call you on your bull crap when you try to make excuses. I have lost 10 pounds since we started and I already feel a difference so that alone gives me a little more motivation to get up and keep doing the program. For me this is not a 12 week competition this is a life change for me. God bless you and I encourage you to keep on your path to healthy living.

1st Blog

So this is my first blog, started today on my journey with the weight-loss in mind. Since this is my first blog I guess I’ll just be my goals for myself. First of course I want to lose weight and get healthier and be here longer for my children I’m 46 years old and I’d like to see a lot more life. Secondly I want to encourage others to keep their path and keep their goals in mind if I could touch just one person during this journey then I’m a winner. And also I would like to take this time to think Rob them say his radio in the YMCA for this opportunity. God bless you guys have a wonderful week and remember we can do all things through christ who strengthens us.
