Week One Recap—I Survived

Week one is behind me. I worked out 6 days. 3 days of strengthening training, 3 days of cardio only and 3 days of both.
I’m not a numbers type of girl, but I’ve been assured that really does only add up to 6 days.
It’s been a week of highs and low. And definitely one that’s way outside my comfort zone!
I wanted to quit about 8 different times, but I took my complaints to God and He gave me the strength to continue on.
Here are the verses I hung onto:
 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (NIV) and
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
Focusing on the exercise meant I pretty much ignored what I ate. This week I’ll be keeping track of my meals because I’ve decided to start a food journal.
I’m also searching for a regular schedule. I tried to fit going to the gym around what was going on and it felt rushed and frustrating. This week I’m shooting for a regular time and I’m hoping I won’t feel like A stranger at the gym.
Don’t get me wrong, everyone there has been SUPER supportive. I just feel awkward and like I don’t belong. This type of situation is where the fact that I’m an introvert works against me.
